Eventful Things

Renaissance Street Navigationis an urban orienteering race designed to challenge participant’s street navigational and reasoning skills. This event highlighted the city’s’ transformation from yesteryear to present.

In addition to the Five Hundred Dollars cash awarded to the winning team, each member of the winning team recieved a 30 day gift certificate to Clyde’s Main Street Fitness, a $20 gift certificate to Justin’s Steakhouse, and a pictorial book depicting the City of Spartanburg both past and present.

This event was held on July 4th, 2009 Down town Spartanburg. 

The top five teams were:

Payne & Littlejohn         Completion time of 2 hours with a 312 point score

Gomez Family                 Completion time of 1 hour, 59 min. with a 233 point score

Irwin Family                   Completion time of 2 hours 5 min. with a 193 point score

Armstrong Family      Completion time of 1 hour 33 min.  with a 124 point score

Tate Family                    Completion time of 1 hour 58 min.  with a 115 point score
